Saturday: A rapid handicap tournament; several rounds of 20min each, sudden death. There is a trophy, a set of stones in wooden bowls, for the winner to use for a year as well as some lesser prizes. Entry £5 (concessionary rate £2).
Registration 1:15 ... 1:30 Round 1 1:45 ... 2:35 Round 2 2:45 ... etc Those who wish can carry on playing informally through the evening.
Sunday: A three round McMahon tournament. 1hr each and 25 stones in 5min overtime. The trophy: the 'Devon Go Stone' is again on loan from our friends in the Devon club. Entry £12 (con £6) including lunch.

Before and After: Let us know if you plan be in Cornwall and would like to play go before the tournament begins. If people are interested we will gladly arrange something for Friday evening, Saturday morning, or whenever. Our normal club night is Thursday.

There is a train leaving London Paddington on Saturday morning at 7:30 which arrives in Penzance at 13.23, which is a bit late but the station is quite close to the Yacht Inn. Please let us know if you are coming on this train and we will delay the start for you. Trains leaving Penzance on Sunday evening arrive in Paddington rather late, though there are sleepers available.

Here is a map showing the location of 'The Yacht', which is easily visible from the Promenade. Parking is available in an adjacent carpark and along the Promenade. You can zoom out from the map to see the rest of Penzance and the surrounding area.
A buffet lunch will be provided on sunday and some refreshments on both days. Tea and coffee can also be purchased at any time and there is a varied menu available in the evening. Penzance in general has plenty of eating places.

The concessionary rate is for anyone who can't afford the full rate. Conversely, wealthy students or pensioners please pay the full rate. Both rates include lunch on Sunday and some tea or coffee on both days.
